Kai Ora Food System | Storying Kaitiakitanga
A set of illustrations co-designed with the wonderful Jessica Hutchings and Jo Smith for their Kaupapa Māori Food System Project. We sat down around some kai to work these out together, sketching and iterating until we came up with the final illustrations.
The first is a visualisation of the model showing the kaupapa Māori values that drive it and the outcomes that it produces. If you flip the poster upside down you can see the problems being solved, visualising the idea of flipping your world view.
Ki Uta Ki Tai Illustration
Ki Uta Ki Tai expresses the concept that everything is interconnected from the mountain to the sea. The landscape holds the projects from Challenge and visualises diverse land use that can be achieved using the Kai Ora model.
